Hey, I'm Sarah!
I’m a Southern Wisconsin lifestyle & wedding photographer serving the greater Madison area with timeless, playful, and true-to-you photos that you’ll absolutely love. I’m all about family, and got my start photographing weddings: capturing the beautiful love shared between couples as they start their own. After seven wedding seasons and over 50 weddings shot, I’ve chosen to expand into lifestyle photography — telling stories through my lens for families around the country!
I started Blue Dorr Photography to capture the authentic love and bond shared between couples and families just like I saw in my own growing up as the middle child of three. My dad is amazing, and helped each of us find the beauty in the small things — which has influenced my style of natural, classic, and authentic shots. I wanted to pay homage to his legacy, which is why we ended up with the Blue Dorr name…preserving his influence on my business and life.

When the photos were on ready on the online gallery and I saw them for the first time, I was so incredibly happy with ALL of them. Every time I went on Pinterest I'd find a photo that I wish we could copy, but with the photos we took, they were way better than the ones I saw. I couldn't decide on a favorite picture for my Save the Dates, so we ended up choosing three photos for it. My favorite part about each photo location we had, was they were all so different but the lighting in each one was gorgeous. I'm so thankful for Sarah's patience with us, her eye for detail in little things like fixing my bangs or pulling a shirt down in the front a little. Even the putting hands in the pockets is such an important detail you don't even realize until you get your photos back. This photo session made me so excited to have Sarah do our wedding because of her detail, patience and always making everyone have a genuine laugh and smile in photos.

Sarah is the best photographer we have worked with over the last few years! She always manages to snap the best moments that sometimes, with my two-year-old, I think don’t happen. She is very good at getting my quiet fiancé to actually relax and feel comfortable with the camera and it makes for the best pictures.
